Everyone loves diamonds, but in my opinion vintage is a girl’s best friend.
My jewellery collection mirrors my wardrobe, in that it encompasses a kaleidoscope of fashions, eras, and designs. From antique, to contemporary, and everything in between, my eclectic assortment of scarf rings, earrings, pendants, brooches and all things bizarre and beautiful, are a true reflection of my individual taste and personality.
To me, style is not something which can be copied, but is unique to the individual, and should complement the persona of the one who wears it. There would be no sense in me dressing like I was off to high tea at the royal palace, or as a ‘death-metal’ loving bogun. Not only would I be laughed out of the playground (yes, by my own children), but it just wouldn’t feel right.
So, my advice is to collect the things you like, regardless of current fashion trends and what’s hot right now. Don’t be afraid to mix vintage chic from yester-year with sleek contemporary designs. The key to success is to let your unique style shine, and enjoy the discovery process – that’s the fun part.
This pair of genuine Hermès earrings are a new vintage treasure I am excited to share with you. They are in superb condition, are gold plated, and are ‘clip-ons’ – a distinct feature of most early 20th century earrings. In fact, clip-on earrings have existed longer than any other variety of non-pierced earrings. The clip itself is a two-part piece attached to the back of an earring. The two pieces closed around the earlobe, using mechanical pressure to hold the earring in place.
These delectable morsels are extremely versatile and could be worn to embellish a multitude of looks. But most importantly I just adore them, which is after all the most important thing.
