I am always searching for shirts that help to accentuate my growing collection of cheap and chic, and Hermès scarves.
The colour needs to be a neutral backdrop to accentuate the scarf, and the design should be a classic fit, with subtle ornamentation or innovative design detailing.
A crisp white shirt is an often underrated must have item for any wardrobe. Although the premise is simple, i.e. keep it simple and understated; the design of the shirt itself does not have to be, and in fact a wide variety of styles can all do the job adequately.
Here are a few of my favourites:
The Blake Ruffle Collar Blouse by Charles Anastase.
A slightly relaxed fit, this twill poplin blouse with ruffled detail at the collar and sleeves, is a classic style with an edge of sophistication.
The T CDC LS creme washed silk by Alexander Wang.
Alexander Wang’s T CDC LS creme washed silk crepe de chine shirt is sleek and laid-back. It has a pointed collar and concealed button down the front, and overlay detail at the shoulder seam.
The Pointelle Knit Tee by Thakoon Addition.
This relaxed, sheer pointelle knit t-shirt has a boatneck, short sleeves, and loose fit – so is perfect for pairing with your summer scarf.
