I have been pluming my feathers all day in anticipation of sharing this fabulous Matisse inspired scarf ring with you.

Finding a unique vintage accessory is like finishing that last mouthful of decadent crème brûlée – a guilty pleasure which makes it all the more satisfying.  The sheer elation I experienced when stumbling upon this gem of a piece was no exception.

Its adorable vintage style was inspired by Henri Matisse’s passion for birds.  Matisse was especially passionate about doves and pigeons, as you can see from the pictures below.  He once was quoted as saying “impressionism is the newspaper of the soul” and I couldn’t agree more.
