March Winner ~ An Hermès Appaloosa Des Steppes Scarf
When we decided to reach out through our monthly competitions, it was with an eye to growing a global community who share a passion for beautiful things and living well. And there you are!
Our Liberatti Team have been delighted to receive entries pouring in from all over the UK and USA, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Saudia Arabia, NZ… and many more places, with really interesting comments and of course mentions of famous and noble horses.
Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to enter. Great news, we’ll be running competitions with designer accessories every month through the year. See the April competition below and at our Competition HQ Online. Alas though, there can be only one winner for March, so…
Congratulations to Hannah S. of Exeter, UK
Hannah was drawn from all entries to win the brand new, boxed
Hermès Appaloosa Des Steppes Scarf.
“Black Beauty – it made me cry when he got sick”. We did too Hannah! (Nicola)
Your Favourite Horses …

Other great responses but little well known were…
Incitatus (Caligula’s Horse) , Man o War, Phar Lap (race horse), Fru Fru from Anna Kareina, Pie from National Velvet, Pilgrim from the Horse Whisperer, General E lee’s Horse Traveller, Binky from Discworld book series, Tír na nÓg from the film Into The West.
Many of you took the time to write in with comments ~ thank you
The legendary Seabiscuit has a special place in my horse-loving heart.
Has to be Black Beauty. I still have my 40 year old copy of the book.
Joey from war horse. I love that bloody puppet!
Secretariat, from the film and from real life. What a horse and legend.
Hidalgo” is the name of my favorite horse protagonist. I loved that movie. An endurance race through the desert, staked by wild west show crew and benefiting Native Americans and the Plains horse culture. I learned English riding on an Appaloosa named Rocky. Thanks, db
Thank you for the responses and memories ~ we do love our horses!
